Responsibilities: · Carry out routine electrical maintenance and other maintenance activities, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieve 100% compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime. Carry out engineering work to good standard, safely and in timely manner. · Fully engaged in supporting the engineering maintenance strategies Ensure workshop is kept to a good standard, clean and tidy. Keep all tools in good serviceable condition and make sure they are fit for purpose. Complete Job reports/tickets each shift Assist Shift Leader in duties to ensure smooth running of shift Liaise with production and prioritise work in best interests of production and company · Ensure proactive response to maintenance and breakdowns on site ensuring continuity of production and services. Responsibilities: · Production Cleaning · Carry out the following cleaning activities during the production run and breaks to ensure the production areas (EV, Packing and Cutting) are clean and tidy at all time. o Remove excess water off the floor, o Check regularly all floor surfaces and using safe manual handling and safe practices, remove any floor waste and using floor squeegee remove excess surface build-up of water and debris (follow the correct meat on the floor procedure), o Empty the bins, o Clean and replenish foot dips with appropriate mix of water and suitable disinfectant, o Clean and replenish hand washing facilities (soap, sanitiser and paper towels), o Attend spillages immediately (if spotted) or as soon you are alerted to them. Quality Assurance (QA)
Job Description
Reporting to Assistant Technical Manager for day shift or the Night Senior Quality Auditor for night shift, the job holder will be required to provide support in ensuring technical and legal compliance is maintained across the Station Road site. To ensure through inspection that operations meet statutory requirements for food safety, legality, security and quality. The role is 100% factory based with the QA team contributing to the ongoing development of a progressive, proactive culture across the Technical department through training, coaching and advocating positive change to create a high-performing environment, surpassing the standards expected from our customers. TEAM: · Support the site Technical team through communication via the Teams chat function and provide live updates from within the factory environment. · Support other QA as needed. Work within a team environment, sharing knowledge, mentoring production process controllers etc. on an “as required” basis. Support trainee QA through “Buddy” training. PRODUCT QUALITY: · Undertake product quality auditing against pictorial specifications (QAS) in the form of 100 piece checks, to include weight assessments and bone monitoring. · Support manufacturing teams by reporting and demonstrating inadequate packs. · Undertake regular monitoring of all process control documentation to ensure the Process Control Operatives are achieving compliance to customer and legislative requirements. PRODUCT CONTROL, TESTING AND SAMPLING: · Responsible for collecting samples as per the daily collection schedule. · Assisting with activities required for the control of non-conforming products. Effectively quarantining non-conforming product and ensuring adequate segregation is achieved prior to rework and other corrective and preventative action is taken to correct the root cause of any non-compliance detected. · Ensuring that all holds are dealt with in a timely manner and all records are complete prior the end of a working shift with minimal carry over of hold stock between the 2 shifts. · Ensuring the traceability system is maintained throughout production, ensuring all raw material is label with adequate traceability labelling. · Monitoring raw material and environmental temperatures of production areas. · Undertake verifications of processing aids such as x-ray monitors, metal detectors, packaging sealers, weigh scales and other calibrated equipment as necessary. · Undertaken verification checks of the evisceration water quality and verify that equipment is producing to the required standard to minimise contamination. INTERNAL AUDITS AND INSPECTIONS: · Undertake GMP inspections of production areas and communicate effectively with the production management team to work on correcting any issues found in a timely and food safe manner. · Assist where necessary and only upon request with internal inspections as assigned by the Internal Auditor. Internal inspections include: Glass and brittle plastics, Factory integrity, Cleaning / hygiene and Pest Control.

Factory Manager
Job Description
- Lead the team to ensure all plant personnel are trained and competent in food safety, SOPs and QAS specifications and comply with all rules and procedures concerning the production of safe food produced to specification. - Ensure SOPs are up to date, relevant and refresher training is conducted at appropriate intervals and personnel records are maintained. - Responsible for regularly updating self and team on regulatory requirements (e.g. H&S, BRC, ETI) and then ensuring all requirements are complied with. - Manage the effective delivery and enhancement of key operational effectiveness measures within production including product waste reduction, right first time quality processing, labour utilisation, productivity and overall efficiency. - Carry out daily management reviews and ensure effective actions are taken to address issues affecting performance and introduce actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues. - Report daily, and weekly and monthly performance to the business. - Control labour and material usage costs. - Manage and control plant overheads expenditure to deliver agreed budget performance. - Identify, implement and maintain ‘GMP’, 5S and visual systems in support of efficient plant operation. - Develop improvement plans for improving plant standards and performance. - Support in maintaining annual and rolling three year capex proposal planning for maintaining plant fabric and infrastructure, essential replacement of equipment and investment payback opportunities. - Develop leadership and management skills for direct reports. - Ensure Plant teams have the requisite skills to perform job roles correctly and have adequately trained deputies to develop into future leaders. - Develop and deliver succession plans to ensure talent pipeline is in place -Performance Management - Promote a positive culture, demonstrating respect, professionalism and a `can do` attitude at all times. - Celebrate success and highlight good practice - Address colleague performance issues through effective use of performance management and other relevant procedures. - Holidays and absence management -Coach Management team in maintaining control of holidays and minimising sickness/other absence in order to deliver the plan.
